My Facebook Fan Page
I’ve seen some really neat facebook fan page designs, and I always wondered how they do it… so I did some reason and it’s actually super easy!
All you have to do is install an app for your facebook that allows you to make custom tabs (tabs are in the new facebook are located directly under the profile pictures – the default tab is the “wall”). I installed the Static HTML: iFrame Tabs app.
Once you’ve installed the app, all you have to do is visit your facebook page, and there should be a new tab on the left hand side under your profile pic that says “Welcome” with the app’s icon next to it.
When you are on that tab, you should get a screen that looks like this (but without the code obviously).

And so now this is where the magic happens… you can write any HTML, CSS and even JavaScript that you would like!!!!!! You can also enable FBML (Facebook Markup Language) if you know it, but I think most of us don’t. I’ll stick with good ol’ HTML and CSS, it has yet to do me wrong! *knocks on wood*
I’m still working on getting a design together, but this is what I’ve come up with in about an hour, so cut me some slack! Check it out!
It’s also really neat that you can add as many tabs as you want! It’s almost like having a little mini site within Facebook! Pretty neat stuff if you ask me…
